We help the global insurance market to handle millions of claims each year in the most cost-effective and efficient ways possible.</p> <p>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Project / Engineering Manager </strong>to lead delivery across three cross-functional development teams within the client's transformation program. This is a senior but hands-on leadership role: you will own delivery milestones end-to-end, keep the teams unblocked and moving, and work closely with Product Managers and Architects to ensure the expected functionality is delivered on time and to a high standard. You will act as a key delivery interface to client stakeholders in the EU and UK, translating business priorities into an executable plan and reporting reliable, defensible status against it.</p> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>6+ years in software delivery, including proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, Engineering Manager, or Delivery Lead owning complex, multi-team engagements</li> <li>Experience within the software development / engineering / outsourcing industry is a must</li> <li>Track record of end-to-end ownership of delivery milestones - planning, forecasting, tracking, and reporting with a strong delivery-predictability focus</li> <li>Genuinely hands-on leadership style: comfortable operating at both the strategic and day-to-day level, close enough to the work to make and unblock decisions</li> <li>Experience coordinating multiple teams and workstreams with dependencies between them</li> <li>Practical command of Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban) alongside project- and program-management practices, and the judgement to blend them pragmatically</li> <li>Solid technical grounding - enough to engage credibly with Architects on solution design, microservice architecture principles, REST APIs and integrations, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and engineering trade-offs</li> <li>Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills, including direct ownership of senior client relationships across time zones (EU, UK)</li> <li>Proficiency with Jira and Confluence (or comparable delivery and documentation tooling)</li> <li>Excellent English communication skills, comfortable with both technical and non-technical audiences</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting a platform consolidation, migration, or feature-parity initiative</li> <li>Background in enterprise / B2B SaaS, multi-tenant platforms, or the insurance / InsurTech domain</li> <li>Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PSM/CSM, SAFe, or equivalent</li> <li>Knowledge of engineering quality practices - clean code, SOLID, TDD and test tooling, change and release management</li> <li>Experience with AI-assisted development and delivery tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own delivery across three cross-functional development teams - accountable for scope, timeline, quality, and predictability of committed milestones</li> <li>Own delivery milestones end-to-end: plan, sequence, track, and report progress, surfacing risks early and driving corrective action</li> <li>Stay hands-on day-to-day: identify and remove blockers and impediments, drive delivery decisions, and keep momentum across the teams</li> <li>Coordinate dependencies, sequencing, and priorities across the three teams and adjacent workstreams</li> <li>Work closely with Product Managers / Product Owners and Architects to translate product vision and architectural direction into an executable roadmap, and ensure the teams deliver the expected functionality</li> <li>Establish and continuously improve Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban) across the teams; guide Scrum Masters and raise delivery maturity over time</li> <li>Provide transparent status, risk, and forecast reporting to client stakeholders and leadership in the EU and UK</li> <li>Establish and track the delivery metrics that give leadership confidence - predictability, throughput, milestone burn-up, and program-level risk</li> <li>Ensure proper change management and release management processes are followed across the teams</li> <li>Balance delivery pace against quality and technical debt, keeping engineering standards high from code architecture to end-user experience</li> <li>Manage, coach, and grow team members; foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and knowledge sharing</li> <li>Facilitate and participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos) as needed</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>We offer*:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible</li> <li>A competitive salary and good compensation package</li> <li>Personalized career growth</li> <li>Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more)</li> <li>Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing</li> <li>Education reimbursement</li> <li>Memorable anniversary presents</li> <li>Corporate events and team buildings</li> <li>Other location-specific benefits</li> </ul> <p>*not applicable for freelancers</p></div>
