Join Our Team as a Full-Time Laboratory Associate !   Are you passionate about scientific exploration and laboratory operations? We're seeking a dedicated Laboratory Associate to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you'll play a vital role in various laboratory tasks, including specimen logistics, accessioning, specimen and reagent preparations, laboratory housekeeping, and waste management.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   Assemble specimen collection kits for distribution.   Utilize FedEx, UPS, and USPS for shipping and receiving packages.   Reconcile daily receipt of specimens and conduct data entry accessioning.   Perform quality control and quality assurance of accurate data entry functions.   Extract DNA or RNA from different specimen types using automated platforms.   Assist in preparing specimens for quantity and quality assessment prior to testing.   Perform clerical duties associated with specimen preparation and workflow tracking.   Check temperature monitoring devices for functionality.   Document equipment usage logs.   Participate in lab organization, housekeeping, and maintenance activities.   Prepare reagents following approved procedures for laboratory testing.   Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies and document all quality control activities.     Qualifications/Requirements:   Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences preferred.   At least one (1) year of directly related laboratory experience.   Proven ability to type 80 words per minute     Skills:   Ability to work independently and as a self-starter.   Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and handle multiple tasks.   Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy required.   Ability to maintain laboratory records.     Hardware/Software Experience:   Computer literate with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.   Experience using Microsoft Teams for communication and presentations.   Ability to use Laboratory Information System (LIS) software.   Complexity:   Ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.   Note:  All applicants will be required to pass an onsite Excel and typing test.   Why Join HALO Dx?
