SMA & ETF Trading Associate - Option Strategies

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Position Summary</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">NorthCoast Asset Management is looking for a SMA & ETF Trading Associate - Option Strategies to join our team in our Stamford, CT office in a trade execution role. Responsibilities include building, executing and allocating trades across 7,000+ client accounts, researching and resolving trade and position breaks with executing brokers, reviewing client specific restrictions, maintaining trade execution data for TCA analysis and compiling and maintaining all performance results for composites.  In addition, the candidate will be required to maintain and develop automation processes for the operations and trading teams using Visual Basic and/or Python.  The candidate will also cross train with the operations group where he/she will reconcile client’s portfolio data, research and resolve any cash related inquiries and resolve failing transactions with custodians and counterparties.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">This position requires a presence in the Stamford office five days a week. </span><br><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Building, executing and allocating trades across 7,000+ client accounts</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Researching and resolving trade and position breaks with executing brokers</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Reviewing client specific restrictions</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Maintaining trade execution data for TCA analysis and compiling and maintaining all performance results for composites.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Maintain and develop automation processes for the operations and trading teams using Visual Basic and/or Python.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications</strong>.</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree. </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to handwrite 200+ lines of code in Python </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">A positive attitude and high energy level</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience managing investment strategies offered in a publicly traded ETF format, alongside separately managed account strategies, is strongly preferred</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">High attention to detail</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">intermediary + knowledge of Microsoft products especially Excel</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Proactive communication and follow-up</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Knowledge of SS&C Technologies GWP, visual Basic and Python is a plus, but we are willing to train.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The SMA & ETF Trading Associate is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $115,000 - $120,000/year<strong>.</strong> Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set.
