You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>No late nights, weekends or holidays!</strong><strong><br><br></strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required</li> <li>Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred</li> <li>Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state where work site is located is required</li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) and Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required</li> <li>Need to have strong IV skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Previous nursing experience in at least one of the following settings is preferred, but not required: Pre-Op, Post-Op, PACU, Operating Room (OR), Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), ICU, Medical Surgical or Telemetry floors</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p> <p>Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and ASC policies and procedures.&nbsp; This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction.&nbsp; Participates in direct patient care and maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment.<br><br></p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to supervise and direct patient care in an individual Operating Room.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensures that proper techniques and practices are used in accordance to accepted standards of practice.&nbsp;</li> <li>Complies with HIPAA regulations and is knowledgeable of patient rights.</li> <li>Performs duties in an ethical and legal manner within the scope of their license as defined by the State.</li> <li>Supervises other personnel in the room and directs or assists as necessary.&nbsp;</li> <li>Immediately reports and unusual occurrences to charge personnel, documents appropriately in the patient record.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrates primary nursing accountability through coordination, communication and continuity of patient care.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care in an effective manner.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintains medical records in an accurate and legible manner.&nbsp;</li> <li>Participates in continuing education/in-service training as needed, staff meetings, and Q.A.P.I. program.&nbsp;</li> <li>Follows Physician orders and directions from management.</li> <li>Actively participates in the development of a healthy work environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assists in training new staff when needed.</li> <li>Balances team and individual responsibilities.</li> <li>Recognizes each department’s significance and works appropriately with other departments.&nbsp;<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care in an effective manner.</li> <li>Ability to respond to emergent situations.</li> <li>Demonstrates a positive, friendly, courteous and professional manner.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintains effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and other staff.&nbsp;</li> <li>Good communication skills: oral and written.</li> <li>Has the ability to be organized, manage time effectively and in a cost effective manner.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work independently and within a group.</li> <li>Attendance: Arrives to work area on time and has minimal absences.
