BI Solution Architect

<p>We are seeking an experienced and passionate <strong>BI Solution Architect</strong> to lead our Business Intelligence transformation initiatives.</p> <p>This role is responsible for:</p> <h3>BI Practice Innovation</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Develop reusable accelerators.</p> </li> <li> <p>Optimize Power BI Service and workspaces—not just dashboards.</p> </li> <li> <p>Expedite the end-to-end development process, ensuring we do more with less.</p> </li> <li> <p>Lead programs that transform dashboard migration involving thousands of dashboards within a few months.</p> </li> <li> <p>Establish governance frameworks and best practices.</p> </li> <li> <p>Identify opportunities to automate repetitive BI development tasks.</p> </li> <li> <p>Build utilities using PowerShell, Power Automate, REST APIs, and Microsoft Fabric capabilities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Leverage AI-assisted development where appropriate.</p> </li> <li> <p>Explore Copilot and AI-driven features to improve productivity.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Dashboard Modernization & Migration</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Lead migration of dashboards from legacy BI platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, Business Objects, SSRS, MicroStrategy, and Excel to Power BI.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assess existing reporting environments and define migration strategies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Develop migration frameworks, templates, and automation utilities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Optimize migrated reports for performance, usability, and maintainability.</p> </li> <li> <p>Minimize business disruption during migration initiatives.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Accelerator Development</h3> <p>Design and maintain reusable accelerators that improve project delivery, including:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Power Query transformation libraries</p> </li> <li> <p>Deployment automation scripts</p> </li> <li> <p>Report validation and testing frameworks</p> </li> <li> <p>Governance toolkits</p> </li> <li> <p>Metadata documentation generators</p> </li> <li> <p>Performance optimization checklists</p> </li> <li> <p>Migration accelerators</p> </li> <li> <p>Security and Row-Level Security (RLS) templates</p> </li> <li> <p>Continuously enhance accelerators based on project learnings and evolving best practices.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Solution Architecture</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Design scalable enterprise Power BI solutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Optimize DirectQuery, Import, Composite Models, and Hybrid Tables.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure solutions meet enterprise scalability, performance, and security requirements.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Performance Optimization</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Diagnose slow reports and datasets.</p> </li> <li> <p>Optimize DAX calculations and Power Query transformations.</p> </li> <li> <p>Improve dataset refresh performance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Optimize semantic models for large datasets.</p> </li> <li> <p>Reduce report rendering times through efficient visual design.</p> </li> <li> <p>Recommend capacity optimization strategies for Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Technical Leadership</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Mentor Power BI developers and conduct technical reviews.</p> </li> <li>
