Opportunity The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will be a vital member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing environmental compliance, workplace safety, and construction/commissioning EHS management across our facility operations. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS professional to ensure the company adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations while supporting safe project execution and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is an agile, team-focused individual with proven professionalism, comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. You will be trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, think strategically, and work equally well independently and as part of a team. You will be instrumental in fostering a safety-first culture where every team member is empowered to identify and mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities Environmental Compliance and Regulatory Management Monitor and ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, state environmental agencies, and local ordinances across all operational and construction activities Develop and maintain environmental policies, procedures, and management plans related to waste management, water usage, air quality, hazardous materials, and stormwater management Coordinate permit applications and approvals for construction, air quality, water discharge, hazardous materials handling, and waste management Conduct environmental impact assessments and compliance audits to ensure regulatory adherence and sustainability goal attainment Oversee spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) planning and implementation Safety Program Development and Management Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies for both operational facilities and active construction/commissioning sites Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate workplace dangers Organize and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and drills for employees and contractors Maintain safety records, track metrics, and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement Partner with operations and maintenance teams to develop standard operating procedures that integrate safety requirements Construction and Commissioning EHS Liaison Serve as primary EHS liaison for Operations between Construction and Commissioning projects Coordinate with Project Management, Operations, and contractor teams to resolve EHS issues and ensure safe project delivery between Operations and Construction Ensure environmental controls (dust, erosion, spill prevention) are properly implemented and maintained on active sites Support EHS closeout verification for Operations and site demobilization activities Incident Management and Reporting Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, environmental incidents, and construction safety events; prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and preventive measures Maintain and manage comprehensive EHS records, including safety audits, inspection reports, environmental compliance documentation, and incident records Ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents, accidents, and environmental concerns to internal leadership and regulatory agencies as required Serve as primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external stakeholders regarding safety and environmental matters Lead the setup, configuration, and deployment of the HSI EHS platform across the area — onboarding techs and contractors, standardizing inspection and observation workflows, and driving adoption so field data is captured consistently and feeds program-level trend analysis and reporting Sustainability and Continuous Improvement Collaborate with operations and facilities teams to implement sustainability programs reducing environmental footprint Identify and promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint reduction opportunities Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in EHS, construction safety, and sustainability Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators; prepare reports and present findings to leadership Skills and Requirements Education & Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field Certifications: Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, CHST, OHST, or similar) highly desirable Experience: Minimum 8-12 years in EHS management, with at least 3+ years supporting construction, commissioning, or capital projects in industrial/technical settings Demonstrated success developing and executing EHS programs and policies Proven experience managing contractor safety and environmental compliance on multi-million dollar projects Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations Familiarity with construction safety standards, project-specific safety planning, and commissioning activities Key Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, state environmental agencies, and construction industry safety standards Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences Proficiency in EHS management software and data management systems Leadership capability to influence behavior and drive safety culture change Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across all organizational levels Preferred Qualifications Experience in data center, technology, or manufacturing industries Experience with complex capital project execution and commissioning Track record of establishing high-performing EHS programs and driving measurable safety improvements Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance Knowledge of sustainable practices and green building standards Why Join Us A collaborative, growth-oriented culture that values innovation and continuous improvement Meaningful work protecting employees, communities, and the environment Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Professional development and career advancement opportunities Flexible work environment with focus on work-life balance Exposure to cutting-edge projects and industry-leading practices EEO Statement: Edged is an equal opportunities e
