Cabinet Painter Helper

Summary: We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Cabinet Painter Helper to join our finishing team. This is an entry-level position that provides excellent on-the-job training for someone looking to start a career in professional wood finishing and cabinetry. The ideal candidate will assist our lead painters with surface preparation, masking, cleaning, and material handling to ensure high-quality, defect-free finished cabinets.   Responsibilities:  Surface Preparation: Sand, scrape, and clean cabinet doors, drawers, and boxes to ensure a smooth, professional finish Surface Filling: Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty or filler using caulking guns or putty knives. Equipment Maintenance: Clean spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other tools after use to keep them in top working condition. Loading/Unloading: Transport, load, and unload cabinet components onto racks or into spray booths. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (shop or site). Support: Assist the lead painter with mixing paints or stains, applying primer, and handling materials.
