<div class="content-intro"><p> </p> <p> </p></div><p> </p> <p><strong>Summary</strong></p> <p>The Training Manager is responsible for delivering and evaluating training programs for new hires and current employees to ensure a qualified, compliant security workforce. This role conducts training using various instructional methods, monitors training effectiveness, and supports firearms proficiency as required. </p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and conduct required training programs for new hires and current employees.</li> <li>Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities for program effectiveness.</li> <li>Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills; develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.</li> <li>Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and course materials such as handouts and visual materials.</li> <li>Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.</li> <li>Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, or handouts.</li> <li>Provide instruction to new hires and current employees as required to maintain and improve marksmanship skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p><strong>Competency</strong></p> <p>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies (minimum of 5):</p> <ul> <li>Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Change’s approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events; adapt to new product introduction, emergent business needs, and business evolution.</li> <li>Ethics - Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values.</li> <li>Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.</li> <li>Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service ; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.</li> <li>Dependability - follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Some college education or business classes desirable.</li> <li>Minimum of two (2) years of training and field supervision experience in civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement or commercial/industrial security force service.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Language Skills</strong></p> <p>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations using English language. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, other employees of the organization and the general public.</p> <p><strong>Mathematical Skills</strong></p> <p>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.</p> <p><strong>Reasoning Ability</strong></p> <p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</p> <p><strong>Computer Skills</strong></p> <p>To perform this job successfully, the Trainer / Quality Control should possess intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and should have a working knowledge of Internet programs and learning management systems.</p> <p><strong>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Current/valid state driver’s license</li> <li>CPR/AED/First Aid Certification</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Qualifications</strong></p> <p class="ql-align-justify">Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age.
