From day-to-day financial operations to major investments, we enable sustainable, informed growth by maintaining strong fiscal discipline.</p> <h3><strong>About the role</strong></h3> <p>We are looking for a self-motivated and resourceful Bank Head of FP&A to join us during a pivotal moment of growth. As Affirm Bank is currently in its formation phase, we are actively building out our foundational team. Reporting to the Bank CFO, the Bank Head of FP&A will be central to this effort, playing a key role in the formation and operational build-out of the Bank.</p> <p>The Bank Head of FP&A will play a critical role in building the team and leading day-to-day finance operations. Core responsibilities include managing the forecasting and budget process, developing robust financial models, capital stress testing and monitoring, financial analysis, and partnering with Affirm, Inc. cross-functional teams on financial workflows.</p> <p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Team Leadership & Talent Development: </strong>Build and lead the Bank strategic finance team, providing strategic direction, recruitment, and coaching as we establish the function.</li> <li><strong>Financial Planning & Analysis:</strong> Lead the end-to-end forecasting and budget process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals during this critical startup phase. Perform rigorous financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making.</li> <li><strong>Financial Modeling:</strong> Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and forecasting for the Bank.</li> <li><strong>Capital Strategy:</strong> Oversee capital stress testing and ongoing monitoring. Partner cross-functionally to validate inputs, pressure-test key drivers, and ensure outputs reflect current business dynamics.</li> <li><strong>Performance Management & Reporting:</strong> Monitor performance against forecasts, diagnose variances, identify root causes, and provide forward-looking insights to drive action.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Decision Support:</strong> Provide decision support on strategic initiatives, evaluating trade-offs and P&L implications. Translate complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives that drive insight, inform strategy, and align stakeholders.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Functional Partnership:</strong> Partner closely with Affirm, Inc. cross-functional teams to integrate financial workflows.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we look for</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 8+ years relevant experience in analytical roles (e.g., strategic finance, consulting, data science, or analytics), with demonstrated impact on business outcomes</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of people management experience</li> <li>Proven ability to operate with ownership and influence in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Strong business judgment, with the ability to connect detailed analyses to broader strategic context and executive-level decisions</li> <li>Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions across cross-functional teams</li> <li>Financial modeling proficiency; working knowledge of modeling tools and experience with data visualization tools preferred</li> <li>Familiarity with fintech, lending and payments business model preferred<br><br></li> </ul> <div> <div> <div> <p><strong>Base Pay Grade - M </strong></p> <p><strong>Equity Grade -  USA 8</strong></p> <p>Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range.
