PLC/Controls Specialist

Support the maintenance team with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving equipment issues. Support, coach, and develop electricians with controls related troubleshooting efforts. Propose and develop projects that will increase reliability of the automation through controls and managing through capital expenditure (CAPEX) portfolio – Project Management. Ensure Controls related work orders are scheduled and completed in a timely manner by working with the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Technicians. Highlight concerns with equipment and projects to responsible departments within the facility. Study new machinery/processes and recommend or select efficient combinations. Build new PLC (software + hardware) for upgradation of existing and new machinery within the production facility. Maintain and troubleshoot existing PLC, liaising with OEM as required.
