About this role

The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food for large-scale events, including weddings, corporate meetings, conferences, and private functions. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and event specifications. - Assist in food preparation for banquets, buffets, plated dinners, and special events. - Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to quality and portion standards. - Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before events. - Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. - Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times. - Assist with inventory control and proper storage of food items. - Work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and banquet team to ensure smooth event execution. - Support breakdown and cleanup after events. Qualifications - Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or banquet cook preferred. - Knowledge of large-batch cooking and food production techniques. - Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Strong teamwork and communication skills. - Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
