About this role
The appointee will join the Applied Ecology and Conservation Laboratory led by Dr. Roger Lee ( https://www.ln.edu.hk/dos/about-us/ourteam/rogerlee ) and will be involved in a hiking trail monitoring project focusing on recreation impacts in Hong Kong. Responsibilities • Field surveys along the MacLehose Trail to monitor and document recreation impacts • Trail condition measurement and assessment, including tracking soil erosion, vegetation degradation, and trail widening • Data processing and spatial analyses using GIS and remote sensing techniques to map habitat changes • Prepare educational and public outreach materials to promote sustainable hiking and conservation awareness based on project findings • Other education and research-related duties assigned
