</span></span></strong><span data-contrast="none"><span data-ccp-parastyle="Normal (Web)">18</span></span><span data-contrast="none"><span data-ccp-parastyle="Normal (Web)"> years</span></span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559685&quot;:0,&quot;335559737&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}">&nbsp;</span></p> <p>We are seeking an&nbsp;Expert Systems Engineer&nbsp;to provide high-level technical leadership in support of complex geospatial intelligence systems across the&nbsp;National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG),&nbsp;Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and other federal partners.</p> <p>This individual will support the Government in applying a&nbsp;multi-disciplinary systems engineering approach&nbsp;to requirements development, solution design, integration, testing, resiliency, and lifecycle management for enterprise-scale mission systems.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the Government in systems engineering efforts across large-scale GEOINT mission environments</li> <li>Translate mission needs into technical requirements and system capabilities</li> <li>Evaluate and improve system architectures, workflows, and cloud-based services</li> <li>Provide technical recommendations on solution designs and emerging technologies</li> <li>Perform requirements analysis, traceability, and allocation to architecture components</li> <li>Support systems integration, verification, validation, and performance engineering activities</li> <li>Lead or support:</li> <ul> <li>Analysis of Alternatives (AoA)</li> <li>Course of Action (COA) development</li> <li>Trade studies</li> <li>Engineering assessments</li> </ul> <li>Contribute to strategic planning, risk management, interface design, and project execution</li> <li>Provide expert guidance on aligning mission vision, strategy, and technical capabilities</li> <li>Coordinate engineering efforts across organizational and agency boundaries</li> <li>Mentor and oversee junior and senior systems engineering staff</li> <li>Apply knowledge of the current&nbsp;NSG/ASG and NRO enterprise environments</li> </ul> <p>The ideal candidate is a senior technical leader who can bridge mission needs and engineering execution while driving innovation across highly complex intelligence systems.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Location: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA</p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master’s degree in:</li> <ul> <li>Systems Engineering</li> <li>Engineering</li> <li>Physics</li> <li>Mathematics</li> <li>Computer Science</li> <li>Information Technology</li> <li>Operations Research</li> <li>Engineering Management</li> <li>Management Information Systems</li> <li>or another related STEM field</li> </ul> <li>Equivalent expert-level, 18+ years' of systems engineering experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements</li> <li>18+ years' experience supporting Government or industry in one or more of the following:</li> <ul> <li>DoD/IC Acquisition Processes</li> <li>Requirements development</li> <li>PPBES</li> <li>Large-scale System of Systems environments</li> <li>Cloud-based enterprise architectures</li> </ul> <li>Strong understanding of the full&nbsp;<strong>systems engineering lifecycle</strong></li> <li>TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Doctorate in a related technical discipline</li> <li>Experience with&nbsp;Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)&nbsp;tools and methodologies</li> <li>Software Development Framework certification</li> <li>International Council on Systems Engineering&nbsp;Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP)&nbsp;certification</li> <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license</li> <li>Active participation in professional organizations such as:</li> <ul> <li>United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation</li> <li>Open Geospatial Consortium</li> <li>American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing</li> </ul> <li>Extensive experience in&nbsp;geospatial intelligence</li> <li>Experience designing solutions using:</li> <ul> <li>Cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)</li> <li>Big Data platforms</li> <li>Automation and AI/ML technologies</li> </ul> <li>Expertise in one or more of the following:</li> <ul> <li>Photogrammetry</li> <li>Remote sensing</li> <li>Image science</li> <li>Geographic Information Systems (GIS)</li> <li>Geomatics</li> <li>Information science</li> </ul> </ul>
