Through our subsidiaries, Moniepoint Inc. processes over $250 billion in digital payment transaction value annually.</p> <h3><strong>Job Purpose</strong></h3> <p>As People Business Partner, Kenya, you will act as the dedicated People Business Partner (PBP) for Moniepoint Kenya. This is a hands-on, builder role - ideal for a strategic, experienced People Business Partner or early-stage People leader who wants real ownership. You will take the strong foundations already in place and evolve them to support a fast-moving, regulated fintech business. This role partners with Moniepoint's Kenya CEO to design and implement people initiatives that strengthen performance, engagement, and organizational capability.</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Partner with Moniepoint Kenya CEO to operationalize people plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and talent priorities.</li> <li>Manage day-to-day employee lifecycle matters in partnership with People Operations and Employee Relations.</li> <li>Coach line managers on performance management, feedback, and team engagement.</li> <li>Analyze people metrics (attrition, engagement, performance) to identify local trends and propose solutions.</li> <li>Support organizational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives.</li> <li>Collaborate with COEs (Talent Management, Total Rewards, Learning, ER) to deliver enterprise programs into Moniepoint Kenya.</li> <li>Act as a culture champion, driving inclusion and accountability through daily interactions.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field</li> <li>10+ years HR experience, including 5+ years in HRBP or advisory role.</li> <li>Proven capability working as a People Business Partner in a fast moving organization.</li> <li>Sound understanding of Kenyan labour laws and regulations.</li> <li>Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data trends.</li> <li>Registered member with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)</li> <li>CHRP-K certification</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience in fintech, banking, or digital environments.</li> <li>Exposure to organization-wide HR transformation or scaling initiatives.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <ul> <li>You’re a strategic operator who balances business acumen with people insight.</li> <li>You see patterns in data, behaviors, and structure — and use them to shape decisions that build capability and performance at scale.</li> <li>You’re confident in influencing senior leaders, framing complex people issues in business terms, and driving clarity where ambiguity exists.</li> <li>You collaborate fluidly across COEs, ensuring that enterprise initiatives translate into meaningful impact on the ground.</li> <li>You’re known for your sound judgment, calm under pressure, and ability to hold leaders accountable while strengthening trust.</li> <li>Above all, you elevate the people function — turning strategy into measurable outcomes that advance both culture and commercial success.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What Success Looks Like&nbsp;</strong></h3> <ul> <li>You are recognized as a strategic partner by the senior leadership team, you shape the long-term organizational and talent strategy.</li> <li>You have designed and implemented business unit-specific people strategies that demonstrably contribute to achieving core business objectives (e.g., market expansion, product innovation, operational efficiency).</li> <li>Your influence extends to shaping company-wide HR policy and program design, providing crucial business context and feedback to Centers of Excellence (COEs).</li> <li>You have successfully led the end-to-end deployment of multiple COE-led strategic initiatives across organizations, ensuring high-quality execution, sustained adoption, and demonstrable positive impact on key people metrics.</li> <li>Your proactive people risk mitigation and strategic workforce planning result in a highly stable, engaged, and optimally structured talent base that is ahead of the curve in meeting future business needs.</li> </ul>
