Join the Greater St. Louis Area Scouting team for a dynamic internship experience that will propel your professional development and provide invaluable insights into the rewarding field of non-profit leadership.   About Us: Greater St. Louis Area Scouting is a vibrant 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to shaping future leaders through character development and community engagement. We're offering a unique internship program designed to immerse you in the heart of our operations, providing hands-on experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals.   Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It: As an intern, you'll be more than just an observer. You'll be an integral part of our team, working alongside experienced Scouters to: Gain firsthand knowledge of the non-profit sector and the impact of our programs. Hone your communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Assist with program development, fundraising initiatives, marketing campaigns, and more. Receive personalized mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals. Fulfill your high school, college, or university internship requirements (12-16 weeks). What You'll Be Doing: Collaborating with a professional Scouter for approximately 20 hours per week. Documenting your learning journey through weekly activity logs. Participating in mid-term and final evaluations with your mentor. Attending meetings, training, and activities to explore diverse career paths within Scouting. Completing assigned projects and tasks. Becoming a member of Scouting America and upholding the Scout Oath and Law.   Qualifications: High School diploma, college students, recent graduates, or currently enrolled high school junior or senior. A genuine interest in the non-profit sector and/or Scouting America. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Prior non-profit experience or coursework in fundraising, management, or marketing (a plus!). Strong organizational, self-motivation, and teamwork skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. A commitment to the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Schedule and hours are negotiable.
