About this role
What challenges are waiting for you? Across Europe, digital assets are moving from the fringe into the standard banking offer. We are preparing them for our retail clients too, and we are looking for someone to take product ownership of the area. You will decide what actually reaches clients in the app, in what order, and with what contribution to the bank. About the role You are the business owner of digital assets for the retail segment. You set the vision, strategy, roadmap and development priorities. Technology, custody and regulatory delivery is handled by a dedicated department of the bank, which you will be in daily contact with. You bring the client and commercial perspective and define the requirements; they deliver them. You connect retail, investments, marketing, risk, compliance and agile development teams. You have no formal authority over most of them, so you work through argument and data. No ready template for this exists in the bank. You will have to find some of the answers yourself and take some decisions on incomplete data. Your main responsibilities Product vision and retail strategy • vision, strategy and roadmap for digital assets in the retail segment, including target client groups, decisions on which products we launch, when and for whom (crypto-asset trading, tokenised investment products, further digital assets), the pricing and revenue model, business cases, strategic proposals and management papers, including options and their consequences, boundaries towards private banking, corporate clients and the existing investment portfolio. Backlog and agile delivery • ownership of the product backlog, from epics to user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritisation by client value, revenue, risk and delivery effort, refinements, sprint reviews and roadmap reviews with development teams, unblocking dependencies between teams and units. Client, experience and go-to-market • the client journey from onboarding through the first trade to long-term use, together with UX and design, educational and communication content that gives clients real context on the topic, the go-to-market plan with marketing and the sales network, including acquisition and activation logic. Data, performance and steering • success metrics: activation, conversion, trading volume, revenue, assets under management, repeat usage, client satisfaction, regular review of product performance and reprioritisation based on what the data says, delivery of the commercial targets of the entrusted product portfolio, reporting to management: decisions, trade-offs and next steps. Regulation and risk, together with the specialist units • an understanding of the regulatory boundaries (MiCAR, DORA, AML above all) at a level that lets you design workable products is an advantage, working with the dedicated department to translate regulatory and operational requirements into the product. Market and know-how • monitoring the market, competitors (neobanks and crypto exchanges included), technology and client expectations, separating real opportunities from the ones that only look good on a conference slide, finding synergies and reusable solutions within RBI Group instead of building everything from scratch, using AI tools in product work: research, drafting requirements, analysing inputs, communication, building internal know-how and spreading context across the bank.
